BEACH CLEANUP PROJECT
Each Monday morning, several Rotarians pick up trash on the Cowell and Main Beaches. We meet at 8am at the foot of the Santa Cruz Wharf, where the City provides buckets and trash grabbers. It's a chance to walk and talk for about an hour while doing good for the environment. Just show up! Even non-Rotarians can join us.

GUATEMALA WATER PROJECTWe have brought incredible change to a village of Mayan Indians by providing solar-powered water purification systems to their mountain village. Previously, they'd been drawing water from a nearby polluted lake - or buying expensive bottled water for drinking, cooking, and bathing. The natives said it was the first time in 500 years that anyone had helped them.

ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Blessed with astute management and the continued support of the club membership and others, our Club's endowment provides approximately $50,000 annually for academic scholarships and $13,500 for vocational scholarships. These are given to deserving students, some of whom are the first in their families to attend college or vocational school. Others have faced hardship or rocky starts before they found their way, while a few have made a name for themselves in their chosen careers. Our Club is privileged to play some role in helping these students with their educational pursuits.
